Last week our New Zealand tour came to an end. We Last week our New Zealand tour came to an end. We want to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly unforgettable experience. Last week, a remarkable group of young athletes took the field, demonstrating unity, resilience, and strength in honor of their injured teammates. It was an emotional evening—one filled with pride. As a coach, it was one of the toughest moments I’ve experienced, but also one of the proudest. The two matches were nothing short of incredible. The girls gave it everything they had against the National Champions, @harbour_hockey . Despite the results, they stood tall, embodying the spirit of sportsmanship and determination. At the final whistle, they stood arm in arm as the North Harbour crowd gave them standing ovations understanding how difficult playing those matches were. It was an unforgettable testament to their heart and character. Though this tour didn’t unfold as we had originally envisioned, we are beyond grateful to everyone who made it possible—both at home and in New Zealand. A special thank you to the clubs who hosted us with such warmth and generosity. The friendships and memories made on this journey will last a lifetime. The support from the global hockey community has been truly inspiring. Thank you all!
